SLUM AREAS MANAGEMENT

A slum is a heavily populated urban informal settlement characterized by substandard housing and squalor. While slums differ in size and other characteristics, most lack reliable sanitation services, supply of clean water, reliable electricity, law enforcement, and other basic services. Slum upgrading is an urban renewal strategy which consists of physical, social, economic, organizational and environmental improvements to slums undertaken cooperatively and locally among citizens, community groups, businesses, and local authorities.


The main objective of Citiyano De solution is to:-

  • Manage the slum area is to alleviate the poor living standards of slum dwellers.
  • Provide drinking water.
  • Spread education.
  • Help in improving the developing the weaker section of society people with an infrastructure for their good living.
  • Create awareness programs regarding health check-up, disposal of waste or waste management.
  • Organize health camps and educate people for family planning norms.
  • Undertake special and constructive programs for the betterment of the weaker section by providing them with adequate housing and sanitary facilities such as low-cost housing, low-cost sanitary latrines, and pure drinking water facilities.
